Description

Hi there;

Congratulations for this awesome software guys, really great work!!! Well, I'm going to the point:

I've got an issue when I try to export to jpeg 8 bit and Tiff 8 bit, I didn't try to export to any other file format yet, but I will...

Kubuntu 14.04 64 bits
Linux 3.13.0-46-generic
Versión de KDE SC 4.13.2
MacBookPro 5,5 (2009) 13”
2x Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P7550 @ 2.26GHz

This is what KSystemLog says in jpeg 8 bit exporting:

kernel [499.207997] darktable2163:segfault at 0 ip (null) sp 00007f1528b928c8 error 14 in darktable[400000+1000]

This is what KSystemLog says in Tiff 8 bit exporting:

kernel [849.031763] darktable2964:segfault at 0 ip (null) sp 00007f650f4698c8 error 14 in darktable[400000+1000]

I've attached both of BT files generated in /tmp.

Thanks for your efforts guys, Keep on Rocking!!!

Looks like a crash in lensfun.

Yes, you're right, I just disabled lens correction module and it exported ok.

Thanks again Tobias

In case it might help, this didn't happen in DT 1.6.2

There have been no changes to how lensfun is used since 1.6.1 (if I recall correctly).

So it would likely depend heavily on which lens is used at which focal length and which aperture, since that influences the actually applied correction, and thus whether this issue occurs or not.

I have a feeling that this is heavily related to issue #10344 (handling of invalid coords(e.g. NAN) that might be returned by LF in some cases)

#6 Updated by Miyagi da Veiga almost 5 years ago

I was testing a little bit, it crashes on:

Focal length 12mm, 13mm and 17mm

And it's ok on:

Focal length 14mm, 15mm, 19mm, 20mm... and so on, I didn't try every option.

Lens info:

Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm F2.8

What about memory?
How much is there memory totally, and how much is free e.g. just before crash?
