Description

New darktable user here so apologies if this contribution is inappropriate.

I've been pasting a history stack on 100 images and I realized there's no obvious way to check progress or cancel that kind of action. This could be bad if, by mistake, I paste some complex stack to, say, 1000+ images.

I think some way to cancel CPU intensive tasks is needed and a progress bar would be very useful.

Thanks!

As we found out in IRC the pasting is more or less instantaneous, it's the subsequent regeneration of thumbnails that was eating CPU cycles, paired with the cache_memory=0 bug.
