Description

let's say i want to work on a photo album of a recent vacation, and i use the collect module to narrow things down by date.
I would like a way to get some kind of "summary" of all selected images. like 500 are from camera foo, 20 from camera bar, and 30 from yet another camera.
Because i know that we take pix with at least 2 cellphones and 2 camera's and i just want to get a sense that they all imported properly.

I could just narrow it down 4 times for every camera and see how many are in each sub-selection, but:
1) this is inconvenient
2) sometimes other people e-mail us pictures and I don't know which camera they used, but i know it was a different model than ours.

I was thinking of switching the lighttable view so that instead of viewing the images, you could show summary "statistics" of the currently selected images (which different camera values and their counts, and later maybe others as people need them - like counts per date - )

houz suggested another idea on IRC:
08:49:06 < houz> it sounds like a nice idea to put the number of matching images after each entry in the collect module

that sounds really neat too, i could pretend i want to narrow down search, select the "camera" option and then i would see all the counts i need.

houz' idea seems useful way beyond my use case, i often wondered what the counts for conditions before enabling the condition.
